Gary Clarke Company have an outstanding reputation for delivering workshops and outreach work in schools, colleges, universities and youth and community groups nationwide. We understand the transformative power of the arts, the positive impact it can have on people and are passionate about providing exciting, supportive, educational and interactive environments where people, at any stage in their life, can flourish and develop their individual artistic voices and creativity.
We pride ourselves on our unique delivery and aim to create a space that is inclusive, inspirational, progressive and memorable and we actively strive to break down barriers by building confidence in those new to dance as well as nurture those who are more familiar.
We lead workshops alongside the company’s touring shows and as a result have introduced thousands of people to the company’s ground breaking work. These workshops provide a unique insight into the company’s productions by offering participants the chance to access source material, learn repertoire from the shows, explore choreographic processes and develop performance skills.

As part of our mission to be inclusive, accessible and relevant, we aim to work in partnership with each organisation to ensure we can provide excellent experiences for each group and its’ participants; designing and providing be-spoke and tailored workshops with a focus on delivering sessions that can sit within and deliver against any curriculum requirements at all levels. We actively encourage teachers and group leaders to be open about how we can assist with their current work and / or assessments during workshop sessions through prior discussion with the our Engagement Manager and workshop leaders.
All of our Education & Outreach work is typically delivered by members of Gary Clarke Company bringing participants into direct contact with experienced professionals. Our family of experienced dance artists, specialist freelancers and Artistic Director have extensive experience in working in education and outreach settings, carry full DBS checks and are fully insured.
